Community Action Program
WIC - Women, Infants and Children
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) offers nutrition education, breastfeeding support, referrals and a variety of nutritious foods to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding or postpartum women, infants and children up to age five to promote and support good health. CAP is now providing WIC services in Oneida County (Utica and Rome) in collaboration with Cornell Corporative Extension Oneida County.
NOEP - Nutrition Outreach Education Program
Coordinators in Madison and Otsego counties provide a complete, personal and confidential prescreening for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
Special Education Advocacy:
A Special Education Advocate helps parents of children with disabilities to navigate the special education process, facilitates communication between the schools and parents, and advocates for the child and family.
